If you are a homeowner that has had chinese drywall installed in your home, you may be entitled to compensation by filing a chinese drywall lawsuit.
Injury Help Network law firms are currently accepting new defective chinese drywall claims in all 50 states. Through our investigation we have however noticed that the majority of homeowners affected by this problem reside in the Southeastern United States. It is thought that this is in part due to the region’s warm humid climate.
What’s the Problem?
The defective drywall imported from China emits volatile sulfur compounds. These compounds have a characteristic sulfur odor, similar to the odor given off by matches. In addition to the strong odor, these gases cause rapid metal corrosion inside the homes.
Signs That You May Be A Victim
Most homeowners will first become aware that there is a problem when they notice and/or see the following problems associated with drywall imported from China:
- Sulfur Smell or the odor of rotten eggs
- Air conditioning system, wiring and pipes issues, specifically, the need to replace the evaporator coils
- jewelry or silverware in the home tarnishes quickly after cleaning
- problems with electronics such as televisions, computers and the wiring in the home
- irritated eyes
