Tipus Tiger Chai Concentrate Recall
On June 17 2008, the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) issued a recall announcement regarding Tipus Tiger Chai Concentrate because it may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum, a bacterium which can cause life-threatening illness or death.
Tipus Tiger Chai Concentrate is manufactured by Tipu’s Tiger Chai Inc, of Missoula, Montana.
What is Botulism?
Botulism, a potentially fatal form of food poisoning, can cause severe side effects and/or death.
The symptoms of Botulism are as follows:
- general weakness
- dizziness
- double-vision
- trouble with speaking
- trouble with swallowing
- difficulty in breathing
- weakness of other muscles
