On July 31, 2008 the US Food & Drug Administration in association with the manufacturer of Wegmans brand Sorbet issued an urgent nationwide recall due to the discovery of the undeclared indigent of milk.
People who have an allergy to milk run the risk of a serious or possible life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the affected products listed below.

- Lemon
- Pink Grapefruit
- Rasberry
The products were distributed throughout Wegmans Food Markets located in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, and Maryland.
